A water station hosted by the City of Gonzales has been extended through Friday, Feb. 26.

Over the weekend, on Feb. 20 and 21, Gonzales County residents were invited to fill their own clean containers with potable water at the Gonzales Fire Station. This has been extended through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to a statement from City Manager Tim Patek.

"I would like to inform all City and County residents that our Water Station has been extended and will be open the entire week of Feb. 22, thru Feb. 28, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.," Patek said. "If you are in need of residential water, you can fill your water containers (20 gallons per household per day) at the Gonzales Fire Station (southeast corner) located at 411 St. Lawrence Street."

It is important to note that Gonzales County Water Supply is still under a boil water notice, but the the City of Gonzales residents are not.
