The Nixon-Smiley Lady Mustangs played two games during the Thanksgiving break on the road.
The Lady Mustangs’ first stop was against the George West Lady Longhorns Monday, Nov. 25; Nixon-Smiley fell to George West, 62-43.
Senior Madison Yanes led the team with 10 points in the game against George West.
The Lady Mustangs traveled to Lytle Tuesday, Nov. 26 for a game against the Lady Pirates; Nixon-Smiley beat Lytle, 53-40, to secure their fifth win of the season.
Sophomore Grace Gomez lead the team with 12 points in the win over Lytle.
Nixon-Smiley faced off against the Kenedy Lady Lions Tuesday, Dec. 3; and will go back on the road Thursday, Dec. 5 to Marion for the second tournament of the season.
