Ruth “Darlene” Bruns, 83, of Luling, formerly of Gonzales, went to her Lord and Savior Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2020. Darlene was born July 30, 1937 in Gonzales to Louis Baros and Frances Ruth Nelson Baros. She married Louis Henry Bruns on May 7, 1960 in the Gonzales First Evangelical Lutheran Church. Darlene had been active in the First Evangelical Lutheran church as a member of the Altar Guild, the Choir and where she had taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. At Trinity Lutheran Church she had been a member of the Altar Guild as well. She was a quiet yet caring lady who loved her family. Darlene loved family gatherings.
Darlene endured many health challenges throughout her life, but these issues were never burdening, just challenges that through her faith she placed in the hands of her Lord and trusted His grace would lead her through all things.
