Smoking Crab opens in Gonzales

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Friday, July 23 for the Smoking Crab & Seafood Company, 322 St. George St. in Gonzales. It is the company’s first brick-and-mortar location, which does business via food trucks in several cities, including Seguin, Conroe and Port Arthur. Owner Jonathan Benjamin was on hand for the ceremony. The restaurant serves Southern-style crab, shrimp, gumbo, and an array of fish. (Steve Fountain)
