Gonzales baseball players selected to all-district team

GONZALES — Four Apaches were named with all-district honors while another three were honorably mentioned in District 27-4A.
Named to the second-team were outfielders Alex Ortiz, Kolby Kifer and Coby Rodriguez as well as first basemen Diego De Leon. Ortiz and Kifer are seniors while Rodriguez and De Leon are freshmen.
Freshmen Tanner Blundell and Luis Ortega and junior Garrett Rickman were all honorably mentioned.
The young Gonzales Apaches suffered a tough season, going 3-19 overall, 0-8 in District 27-4A play.
