Mustangs fall to Bulldogs at home

The Nixon-Smiley Mustangs hosted the Marion Bulldogs for a district match Tuesday, April 9.

The Mustangs fell to the Bulldogs, 14-1, and were handed the season sweep for the 2024 season.

Nixon-Smiley was handed their fifth consecutive double-digit loss; the Mustangs are on a six-game losing streak in district play.

The Mustangs have three games left in the 2024 season; they’ll take on Cole (Friday, April 12) and Luling (Tuesday, April 16) on the road and will host Great Hearts Northern Oaks (Friday, April 20).

First pitch for the Cole match is set for 7 p.m.
