Gonzales Economic Development Corporation executive director Jennifer Kolbe unexpectedly resigned last week from her position with the municipal corporation. “I love Gonzales. I left my job and the GEDC in much better shape than when I got there,” Kolbe told the Inquirer. “With the support of the board, we were able to settle hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt owed; fund water tower studies; provide Main Street grants; work with Remschel, Snavely, Laurel Ridge and Shear Designs; and put in processes and implemented rules and procedures that were not there when I got there that will only make the community better in the future. more
