Angels & Outlaws lassos Main Street Business of the Month honors

Posted

Angels & Outlaws is a funky little boutique in the heart of downtown Gonzales, Texas, owned by Amy Cernosek and Andi Seger. They celebrated their 16-year anniversary of being in business at the end of September.

Not only are they business partners, but they are lifelong best friends. Both ladies have roots in Gonzales County going back to the days before Bonnie and Clyde. They both graduated from Texas A&M University and worked for a while at Amy's family business, J Bar B Foods in Waelder, Texas, before their hobbies turned into a thriving business in the fashion industry.

It didn't happen overnight and has taken lots of hard work and dedication, but the days of making their own jewelry and clothing to attend market days are long behind them. Since opening up shop in downtown Gonzales, the demand for women's clothing and accessories has grown exponentially, mostly because of a thriving online business and social media presence.

Their in-store shopping parties, such as Mother's Day, Christmas in July, Deer Widows Weekend, and their Black Friday Pajama Party, are still a huge hit and bring customers from all over Texas to visit Gonzales. Their online presence has been prominent for several years now but has really taken off since the start of their Facebook Lives, including Monday Madness, Super Cute Wednesday, Favorite Things Friday, and Saturday Showcase.

Most shoppers today have very little time and opt for shopping from the comfort of their own home.  Angels & Outlaws has adjusted to those needs and allows customers to do just that thru the lives shows. Shoppers from all over can shop online and have their items shipped to them or they may pick up in store. This has allowed Angels & Outlaws to grow their business, turn over more product allowing for new and fresh merchandise for their local customers, and bring in more tax dollars for the community.

Amy and Andi are all about women helping women, and women helping in our community. They are so proud and excited to have created a business where they get to work together every day and have made some amazing friends along the way. And they are especially honored and excited to be named Main Street’s Business of the Month for October.
