OBITUARY

Anna Marie Villareal

Posted

Anna Marie Villareal was born June 20, 1956, to Louisa and Paul Villareal in Gonzales, Texas. She was a sister and aunt to many, mother to three, and a friend to all. A believer in Jesus Christ, Anna lived her life through her faith and gave her all to God, her children and grandchildren.

An early bird by nature, Anna was the first to wake and made sure others were getting an early start as well. If it was your birthday, you could expect Anna to call you first. If you caught her in the afternoon, you would find her watching the Cooking Channel, drinking a diet coke and ready to go out to eat. Whether by choice or by heart, Anna was a very hard worker, and she’d help anyone she possibly could. She worked for 11 years at Kitchen Pride in Gonzales, and made many friends there. Toward the end, her heart was always with her grandchildren. More than anything, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren— especially her baby Kyler— and there wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for them.

Anna ascended to heaven Feb. 8, 2021, where she joined her beloved mother; father; sisters Rosie, Connie and Mary Jane; and brothers Paul, Ruben, Rodney and Robert. She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Rita Lewis (Gary Jr.); sons Matthew and Angel; grandchildren Gary III, Riley, Ryan, Kyler, McKenzie, Marina, Mason, Haley, Realynn, Aidan, Avryn, Allyanna and Adrianna; sisters Mary Lou Gonzalez, Ruth Guerra, Molly Gonzales and Rita Soto; brothers Edward Villareal, Richard Villareal and Rudy Villareal; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other living relatives and friends.

The family would like to express their thanks for the prayers, encouragement and acts of kindness. A private funeral service will be held at a later date.
