Annual Go Texan steak night set for Jan. 14

The Gonzales County Area Go Texan (GCAGT) organization is proud to announce the 14th annual Steak Night Scholarship fundraising event.

This night of delicious food, and exciting events, will benefit area youth who endeavor to pursue their educational dreams and goals, within the Texas educational system. This life-changing and fun event will be held Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023 at the JB Wells Park Expo Center, 2031 County Road 197, Gonzales.

The JB Wells Expo Center doors will open at 4:30 p.m., with tickets required to attend this anticipated event to encourage and assist local youth. The “Steak Night” portion of this event is set to include delicious rib-eye steaks, with all the trimmings (and what is sure to be an unforgettable and mouth watering dessert).

Service is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. promptly, with a live auction to follow at 7:15 p.m. A separate silent auction will follow approximately 15 minutes after the end of the live auction.

There will be live music and dancing following both auctions, with a performance by “Can’t Hardly Play Boys” to set the beat, and the mood as the evening progresses.

This exciting event will be B.Y.O.B. with tickets available for $50 per person. Corporate tables are still available at $50 per person, with an eight ticket minimum for the premium tables. All 2023 corporate table purchases will be entered to win a FREE corporate table at next year’s GCACT Steak Night event (2024).

The organization reminds community that not only do these tickets benefit the youth of our area, but that they are also limited. There is an additional reminder that these event tickets are by pre-sale only, with availability from all GCAGT committeemen.

All proceeds from this GCAGT Steak Night event will go towards providing scholarships to Gonzales County youth who plan to attend Texas universities and/or trade schools.

Gonzales County Area Go Texan is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that promotes the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo through ticket sales and show participation allowing the organization to awards scholarships to qualified students who reside in Gonzales County.
