The Gonzales Apaches returned to the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio Wednesday, Nov. 27 for a game against the Laredo LBJ Wolves prior to the Los Angeles Lakers at the San Antonio Spurs NBA contest.
The Apaches’ defense shutdown LBJ’s offense, keeping them to the single digits in the first three quarters; and Gonzales scored in the double digits in all four quarters, leading to a 48-30 victory for the Apaches. Gonzales won the scoring in each quarter, putting up 11, 10, 10 and 17, while LBJ scored 5, 6, 9 and 10. Halftime score was 21-11 in favor of the Apaches.
The Apaches improved to 3-2 on the season; they returned home to play Wimberley Tuesday, Dec. 3 and will go on the road Thursday Dec. 5 again for a tournament.
The Apaches will go back on the road against the San Antonio Cole Cougars Tuesday, Dec. 10.
