Apaches drop four in tournament play

It was a rough weekend for the Gonzales Apaches baseball team as they ended up on the losing end of four tournament games in Floresville.

Gonzales lost 11-2 to the San Antonio Jay Mustangs on Thursday, Feb. 27, and lost to the Geronimo Navarro Panthers, 15-0, on Thursday as well.

On Saturday, March 1, the Apaches lost 15-0 to the Pflugerville Connally Cougars and 15-0 to the Florence Tigers as the team has lost its first six games by a combined score of 84-8.

Gonzales is scheduled to play Saint Andrews and Pflugerville Connally again on Thursday, March 6, at Lehman High School; the Austin Akins Eagles on Friday, March 7 at Lehman High School; the LASA Raptors on Saturday, March 8 at Cedar Creek High School; and then at the Smithville Tigers on Tuesday, March 11.
