The Pilot Club of Gonzales hosted its annual Bunco Fiesta on Sunday, July 13 at the Elks Lodge, drawing a lively crowd for an afternoon filled with games, prizes, and purpose.
The club extends sincere thanks to the Gonzales Elks Lodge for generously allowing the use of their facility and providing a fully stocked cash bar — including popular $6 margarita specials in support of their Sweetheart Fund — which added to the fun, festive atmosphere.
Dozens of community members gathered to roll the dice, bid in the silent auction, and participate in the club’s wine pull — all in support of the Pilot Club’s local service initiatives. Funds raised from the event support projects such as BrainMinders, Pick Me Ups for Caregivers, the Melanie K. Wright Nursing Scholarship, Wreaths Across America, and the new Sensory Hallway for Gonzales ISD.
“We are incredibly thankful for the support of our community,” said club president Lorrell Wright. “From ticket sales to donations and volunteer time, every part of this event helps us Do More, Care More, and Be More for Gonzales.”
With a strong turnout and lots of laughter, this year’s Bunco Fiesta proved once again that giving back can be a great time. The Pilot Club of Gonzales is already looking forward to its next event and continuing to serve the community it loves.
