Community School Supply Drive a big success

This year marked the second annual Gonzales Community School Supply Drive and Giveaway. Through a collective effort from local businesses, organizations, churches as well as individuals, we were able to award 300 school supply bags to the students of the community in grades Pre-K through fifth.

This year, contributors could also make donations to adopt a classroom to where teachers from grades Pre-K through fifth grade were given a $50 Visa gift card to help them in their purchases towards preparing their classrooms for the upcoming year. It is wonderful to see the community come together and help support the students and teachers and have them ready for a great school year.
