Debi Kay Jalufka

Debi Kay Jalufka, of Luling, passed away on Monday, Feb. 22, 2021, at the age of 53. She was born on June 25, 1967 in Gonzales, Texas to Judy Earl and Hubert Peterman. She married Benjamin James Jalufka on Oct. 17, 2001 in Luling, Texas.

Debi was a lover of life and country music. She was strong in her faith, and had a very kind heart. Her favorite animals were cows and frogs. She was compassionate in her ways and always forgave everyone, no matter what. Anyone who spent time with Debi, knew she was always laughing and enjoying herself.

Debi is survived by her parents, Pete and Judy Peterman; husband, Benjamin “Benji” Jalufka of Luling; daughter, Kayla Buch and husband William of Cuero; sister, Mavis Machicek and husband David of Corpus Christi; brothers, Ralph Peterman and wife Tracy of Kemper, Larry Peterman and wife Tammy of Sinton; grandchildren, Alexis Ford, Kali Buch, and Wyatt Buch, and close friend, Robby Whitaker. She was preceded in death by her father, Eddie Hunt, and brothers, Kevin Hunt and Kirby Hunt.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Mar. 4 at 10 a.m. in the Eastside Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the charity of one’s choice. Due to current CDC, State and local mandates, protective measures regarding social distancing, limited attendance capacity and the use of personal protective masks will be required for the funeral service.
