Edwards Furniture names Main Street Business of the Month

Gonzales Main Street is pleased to recognize Edwards Furniture Co. as our Main Street Business of the Month.

Edwards Furniture, located at 703 St. Paul Street, has been a Gonzales staple since 1986. Edwards Furniture is family-owned and operated. Patriarch Billy Edwards started the business more than 60 years ago in Alice, Texas. Today they have locations in Alice, Gonzales and Uvalde, all owned and operated by the Edwards family.

The Gonzales store has served the community for 37 years and is blessed to have four long-time, exceptional employees with Maria Martinez holding the longest tenure at 24 years. Larry Edwards’ favorite thing about this business is the people.

“Gonzales has some of the friendliest people you can meet” says Larry. “Most of our customers are local to Gonzales and the surrounding areas. They are what makes this business a success. It is a place where you know and care about your neighbor, a place where we can greet our customers and enjoy having long conversations with them. Business is great because of the community.”
