GCSO, GPD apprehend fugitive child sexual predator

A fugitive sexual predator of children from Florida was apprehended without incident in Gonzales today, Thursday, Oct. 26, thanks to teamwork from the Gonzales County Sheriff’s Office and the Gonzales Police Department.

According to a press release from the GCSO, the department obtained information that Donald Paul Holland Jr. had cut off a court-ordered ankle monitor in Florida and had absconded to Texas, settling in Gonzales. Armed with that information, deputies and police officers located and apprehended Holland without incident.

Holland is currently in the Gonzales County Jail, awaiting extradition to Florida.

“The Gonzales County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the City of Gonzales Police Department for their assistance in getting this violent criminal out of our community. As always, our number one priority is to keep our community safe,” the press release stated.
