GISD: Teacher involved in testing probe no longer with district

Gonzales ISD is not releasing much information about a possible investigation into “concerns from students regarding the conduct of a teacher in relation to the administration of tests.”

“Gonzales ISD is not able to discuss matters that are under investigation; however, we can tell you that the teacher is no longer employed with Gonzales ISD,” said Veronica Johannsen, GISD Chief of Communications, Marketing, Safety and Security.

The name of the teacher was not released as of press time by Gonzales ISD. Unverified sources have disclosed the name of the teacher to the Inquirer; however, the Inquirer will only report names from verified sources.

It was also unclear whether the tests mentioned by the district were course examinations or state assessments.
