Gonzales approves 2022-23 master rate and fee schedule

The Gonzales City Council approved the 2022 Master Rate and Fee schedule during the Thursday, Sept. 8 meeting.

The following rates will be increased and/or added for the 2022 schedule:

• Commercial Construction: Base permit fee increased to $100. Last year: $75.

• Plumbing: Base permit fee increased to $70. Last year: $50

• Other: additions: Certificate of occupancy ($82.50) and rectification that includes inspection ($10)

• Subdivision; addition: zoning verification letter ($100)

ELECTRIC:

• Residential Services: residential minimum monthly bill with no consumption increased to $7.61, residential customer charge increased to $7.61, along with residential energy charge per kwh increased to 0.05154.

• Residential – master metered multiple dwelling units: minimum monthly bill in increase to $7.61, customer charge increase to $7.61 and energy charge per kwh increase to 0.051554.

• Medium Commercial and Industrial – demand less than 20 kw and greater than 200 kw: Customer charge increase to $20.29, demand charge per KW increase $5.07 and Energy charge per kwh increase to 0.03480

• Large Commercial & Industrial – Demand less than 200 KW and greater than 3500 KW: Customer charge increase to $152.18 CP, demand charge per KW increase to $7.68 and Energy charge per kwh increase to 0.02191

• Large Commercial & Industrial Demand less than 3500 KW: Customer charge increase to $202.91 CP demand charge per KW increase to $7.36, and Energy charge per kwh increase 0.02019

• Security Light Installation: Led Lighting increase to $235

• City Base Rate $21.30 per month/per unit

Industrial -Industrial defined as meter 2" or greater

• City Base Rate $24.66 per month, plus $2.70 for each 1,000 gallons of water used

• City Base Rate $13.46 per month, plus $1.73 per thousand gallons water used based on
