Gonzales Cheer team finishes season as state finalists

The Gonzales High School cheer team ended their historic season in the state UIL competition in Fort Worth Friday, Jan. 17.
The Gonzales cheer team finished in the top 20 as state finalists with a 20th finish overall in 4A Division II.
Gonzales ran into familiar teams during the 2024 football season at the state competition; that includes district teams Lago Vista, Salado and former district rival Cuero.
The Gonzales cheer team will return for Fall 2025.
