What do disco balls, vintage vibes, John Deere tractors, and lighted Christmas ball ornaments have in common? They all helped illuminate the magic of an Enchanted Christmas in downtown Gonzales!
This year’s Gonzales Main Street Downtown Window Decorating Contest showcased the creativity and festive spirit of our local businesses. Participants were encouraged to bring the theme to life in imaginative ways, and they did not disappoint!
Four out-of-town judges toured the downtown district on Dec. 2 to evaluate the dazzling displays. Judging criteria included presentation, workmanship, originality, and use of lights.
The Winners Are:
1st Place: EBarr Feed
Located at the corner of St. Louis and Water Streets (Hwy. 183), EBarr Feed wowed judges with their incredible lighted display featuring a decked-out John Deere tractor, Purina feed barrels, glowing trees, and reindeer. Their festive display perfectly combined their brand with the holiday spirit.
2nd Place: Tinsley-Lawley Partnership Building
At 418 St. Francis St., this building dazzled with a stunning use of lights, wreaths, and oversized ornaments. Judges praised the display for its warmth and remarked that “it felt very Christmasy.”
3rd Place: Scrooge’s Midnight Mirage
Their windows at 511 St. Joseph St. captured the essence of Christmas with bold colors, shimmering ornaments, and a classic storytelling theme that charmed everyone who passed by.
