Are you grieving the loss of a loved one? Few people understand how painful and isolating your grief can be but that doesn’t mean you have to suffer by yourself. There are others who have experienced what you’re going through and you can find them at a GriefShare Grief Support Group.
GriefShare’s Grief Support Program is a 13-week, in-person program that is free and open to anyone who has experienced the death of a family member, friend, or loved one. Each weekly session consists of watching a video with counsel and insights from respected grief experts and relatable personal stories—followed by a time of sharing and support. Group participants will also receive a book to take home filled with valuable exercises for navigating their personal grieving process. Session topics include what's normal in grief; loneliness and sadness, being stuck in grief, and what do I live for now.
The next session of GriefShare’s 13-week program in Gonzales begins Tuesday, Jan. 28 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Abiding Word Lutheran Church located at 1020 St. Louis St. and will run through Tuesday, April 29. To register or to get more information, call 830-857-3855 or go to www.griefshare.org.
