Highway improvement contracts awarded in Fayette, Gonzales, and Wharton Counties

At its June 20 meeting in Austin, the Texas Transportation Commission awarded maintenance and improvement projects in TxDOT’s Yoakum Districts to Fayette, Gonzales, and Wharton Counties for a district total of $16,484,276.07       

Gonzales County

Hunter Industries of San Marcos, Texas was awarded the $10,569,339.08 contract for rehabilitation of existing roadway on SH 304 from SH97 to the Caldwell County Line.

Fayette County

Acme Bridge of New Braunfels, Texas, was awarded the $1,169,874.33 contract for bridge replacement and roadway approaches on CR 222/CR 109 at Haw Creek.

Wharton County

Trevway, Inc. of Katy, Texas, was awarded the $2,614,789.36 contract for bridge replacement and roadway approaches on CR 442/CR 343 from CR 422 at Willow Creek #2.

Ti-Zack Concrete, LLC from Le Center, MN was awarded the $2,130,273.30 contract for construction of pedestrian infrastructures in El Campo.

As these projects begin, motorists are urged to stay alert and reduce speed near and through work zones, obey all traffic control and be aware of workers and moving equipment throughout all work zones. Exact construction start dates on these projects and related traffic detours have not yet been determined.
