Iva Jane Kosub

Iva Jane Kosub was born on November 3, 1945 to Ansel and Elvis Gordon. The angels carried her home to our Heavenly Father on January 4, 2024.

Iva is survived by her husband, Glenn Kosub, Sr. Sisters,Marilyn McDaniels and Vera Ramzinski. Children, Randy (Kathy) Lamza of Nixon, Kenny (Michelle) Lamza of Gillett, Teresa (Kurt) Basse of Fredericksburg, Cindy Kosub of Boerne, and Glenn (Shannon) Kosub, Jr. of LaVernia. Grandchildren, Randi Lamza (Jesse Hoover), Chase (Gabby) Lamza, Keith (Nikki) Lamza, Skylar (Kody) Stevens, Trevor (Emily) Kosub, Peyton (Kailey) Kosub, Matthew Basse (Allyson Beckmann), Emily Basse, Joshua (Erin) Kosub, Allison Ratley, and Carter Ratley, and 13 ½ great-grandchildren.

Iva was preceded in death by her parents and brother Henry Gordon.

Iva completed the School of Vocational nursing in 1978, practicing as an LVN for many years. After retirement, she enjoyed the busy, but peaceful, farm life with Glenn, her loving husband of 40 years.

She worked to keep her yard beautiful, loved family gatherings, and simply watching her cows stroll by in the mornings. She was also very active in her Church. The highlight of her life were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was ‘Nannie’ to so many and welcomed everyone into her home.

She will be carried to her final resting place by her grandsons, Chase, Keith, Trevor, Joshua, Matthew and Peyton.

A celebration of Iva’s life will be held on January 7, 2024 at Finch Funeral Home in Nixon, Texas.

Visitation 2pm-3pm, followed by services at 3pm. Burial immediately following at Union Valley.
