James Matthew Moeller, 50, passed away Friday, Sept. 11, 2015. James was born July 25, 1965 in Gonzales to Arnold Arthur Moeller and Marion Bernice Pirkle Moeller. He graduated from Gonzales High School with the Class of 1983. He was a member of Emmanuel Christian Fellowship Church.

James was born and raised in Gonzales. As a young boy playing in the summer heat he could be found enjoying the shade under the house while playing with his trucks, digging holes with a toy front-end loader and moving the dirt with a toy dump truck. He enjoyed fishing and swimming with his friends and family and riding his mini bike just as fast as it would go.

He played the coronet in the high school band and held a tremendous fascination with early computers.  James frequently took those early-model computers apart to better understand how they operated and it wasn’t long before he could access parts and build his own computers. Add a piece of apple pie to this biography and one could see that James was an all-American boy.

After graduation James moved to Dallas, much to the chagrin of his mother, and went to work for Republic Bank. He moved to Austin and worked as a lab tech for Abbott Labs before going to school to become a diesel mechanic and then working as a mechanic for Waste Management in Austin.

At home James loved to research recipes on the Internet and cook these recipes himself. He was a wonderful cook. He made delightful cakes and cookies from scratch and he loved to barbeque too.

James was loving, caring and thoughtful. He was a supportive brother and an extremely intelligent man. James Matthew Moeller held a very special place in the hearts of those that loved him, 1 Corinthians 13:8, reads “Love never ends,” no, love never ends.

He is survived by his mother and father, Bernice and Arnold Moeller of Gonzales; sister and significant other, Deborah Darlene Moeller and Saturn Kincaid of Gonzales; brother and sister-in-law, Scott Dwain Moeller and Cheryl of Gonzales; and nieces and nephew, Chelsey, Cailinn, Jordan and Jaylee Moeller.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas and Grace Pirkle, and Louis and Bessie Moeller.

The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Seydler-Hill Funeral Home.  A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15 following the visitation in Floyds Chapel Cemetery with Rev.
