Jason Cole Nesloney

Jason Cole Nesloney, 51, of Gonzales, Texas passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021.  Jason was born August 13, 1970 in Beeville, Texas to Robert Lee Nesloney, Sr, and Linda L. Smith Nesloney. 

As a young child, Jason enjoyed riding motorcycles, boating, fishing, and spending time with family.  He started working in the oilfield after school and moved to Belmont, Texas in 1994 where he started working as a meter reader for GVEC, working his way up in the department to Foreman.

Jason met the love of his life, Shelly Ann Oliver, in 1990.  Life events separated them but eventually they reunited and married.  Jason embraced the father role to their daughter Erin.  He was a very calm patient and loving husband and father.  Jason enjoyed jet skiing, playing dominos, floating the river, vacationing, boating, concerts and RVing with “his girls”, family and close friends Tim and Trish Stoepler and Valerie and Clay Whites.

Jason Cole Nesloney is survived by his adoring family, wife, Shelly Nesloney, daughter, Erin Foley, brother and sister-in-law, Robert Lee Nesloney, Jr., and Laurie, nephews, Chase (Kourtney), Anthony, Connor, Todd (Liz) Nesloney, Justin (Taylor) Harvey, Carlos Ryan, Josh Hendershot, and Jeremy Morris, nieces, Kelsea Oliver,  Brittnie (Shaun) Boyd, Jessica Harvey, Brooke (Tyler) Trevino, Shawna Epperson, and Ashley Valenta, his great-nephews, Cade, Liam, and Brixton Nesloney, Kinston Trevino, great-nieces, Danny Faith Lee Harvey, Hayden Mertz, and Aubrey Morris, along with numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.  He was preceded in death by his beloved parents Linda and Robert Nesloney, Sr., cousins, Clay Nesloney, Scott Allor, Ronnie Richards, mother-in-law, Debbie Mager Hendershot, and niece Sydney Oliver.

The family received friends from 5 to 7 pm Friday, September 3, 2021 in Seydler-Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 2 pm Saturday, September 4, 2021 in Seydler-Hill Funeral Home with Fr, Paul Raaz officiating. Interment followed in Belmont Cemetery.

Pallbearers:  Clint and Todd Nesloney, Bubba Mager, Jerry Gray II, Elliott Bucky Floyd, and Boyd Catching.  Honorary pallbearers: Doug, George, Charles, Johnny, and Chase Nesloney.  Memorials may be made to Norma’s House.  Friends may leave their condolences to the family by visiting www.seydlerhillfuneralhome.com.  

Due to the present uptick in reported Covid-19 illnesses, protective measures regarding social distancing, and use of personal protective masks are suggested for the visitation, funeral service, and graveside burial rite. Those remotely symptomatic of COVID-19 are politely asked not to attend. Services are under the direction of Seydler-Hill Funeral Home
