Johnny Castellano Ramos

Johnny Castellano Ramos, age 67, of Gonzales, Texas passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. Johnny was born March 17, 1954 in Gonzales, Texas to Irene and Jose Ramos. 

Johnny attended school in Gonzales. To provide for his family he drove trucks for over 30 years. Johnny retired from his truck driving days. He enjoyed spending time with his wife of 49 years. He always relished greeting friends and familiar faces. Johnny loved to spend time with his family, especially time with his grandchildren. He was always very proud of his family. 

In his spare time, Johnny loved to work on cars. He was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys, San Antonio Spurs and Texas Longhorns. He liked to watch westerns, wrestling and comedies. He also loved to barbeque for his family.  

Johnny is survived by his wife, Marialaine Cardona Ramos; his sons Noel Ramos and wife Yesenia, Gustavo Ramos and his wife Sylvia, Johnny Ramos Jr, Alvin M. Ramos; and his daughter Adriana Trevino and husband Victor; his brother Ruben Ramos, his sisters Josephine Ramos Enriquez and Julia Ramos Vera Alvarado; his grandchildren Alex Trevino, Nathan Trevino, Ariel Ramos, Mauricio Ramos, Jason Ramos, Celeste Ramos, Triston Ramos, Kaylee Ramos, Jenna Ramos and Haze Ramos.

Johnny was preceded in death by his father Jose Ramos and his mother Irene Ramos; his brothers Joe Ramos Jr., Robert Ramos, and Tony Ramos; his sisters Mary Alice Ramos Adames and Rose Mary Ramos; his nieces Patty Ramos and Bernice Ramos, his nephew Lee Vera, and his grandson Avin Luke Ramos.

Serving as pallbearers are Noel Ramos, Gustavo Ramos, Johnny Ramos Jr, Alvin M. Ramos, Jason Ramos, Triston Ramos, Alex Trevino, Nathan Trevino, Jack Ramos, Luz Enriquez Jr. and Eugene Enriquez. 

A visitation for Johnny was held Tuesday, September 14, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales, Texas with the rosary following at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass occurred on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gonzales, Texas. Interment followed at Gonzales Memorial Park in Gonzales, Texas.
