Juanita Molina Olmos

Juanita Molina Olmos, 90, of Gonzales, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2023.  She was born April 3, 1933 in Gonzales the daughter of Juan and Lucia Velasquez Molina. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a homemaker. Juanita worked as a certified nursing assistant and was with the Care Inn Nursing Home for several years. She enjoyed following her favorite novellas on television, visiting with friends and neighbors but most of all she treasured time with her children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her daughters Lupe De La Rosa and Rita San Miguel and husband Martin all of Gonzales; sons Henry Olmos and wife Elisa of Buda, Manuel Olmos and wife Anna and John Olmos and wife Irma all of Gonzales; 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded by her parents, son Frank Olmos,Jr., granddaughter Amanda Marie Olmos, 5 sisters and 4 brothers.

Visitation will be held 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home with the Rosary beginning at 7 p.m.  The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, September 18, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Reverend Jason Martini officiating.  Interment will follow at St. James Catholic Cemetery.  Pallbearers include Joe Maldonado, Gerardo De La Rosa, Jr., Chris Olmos, Steven Olmos, Kenny Olmos and Cole Botello.

Juanita's family would like to thank Dr. Sean Hattenbach, Dr. Emily Wagner, the Gonzales Healthcare nurses and Care Team Hospice for their compassionate care.  And a special thanks to Ms. Angeles Reyna her caregiver.
