Lady Mustangs sweeps season series from Lady Cougars

The Nixon-Smiley Lady Mustangs took care of business on the road with a 13-0 shutout win over the Cole Lady Cougars Friday, April 12.
The Lady Mustangs got on the board first, scoring seven runs in the top of the second.
Nixon-Smiley shut down Cole’s offense and allowed two hits; and senior Nichole Ivey recorded 13 put outs.
The Lady Mustangs traveled to Luling for the regular season finale Tuesday, April 16 and with second place on the line in District 26-3A.
The Lady Mustangs concluded their season with a 5-2 district record and 9-15 overall.
Bi-district playoff information to be announced at a later time.
