Lester wins Junior High cross country title; eighth grade girls finish second overall

The Gonzales ISD Junior High cross country team rocked it at the district meet in Lockhart earlier this month.

Ellie Lester defended her title as district champion girl for the second year in a row! Riley Cantu finished in fourth place for the eighth grade girls, while Lilah Coke was seventh. For the eighth grade boys, Nick Villa finished in fifth place while Dylan Moreno just missed the Top 10 in 11th place.

The Apache eighth grade girls secured an impressive second-place team finish, while the seventh-grade boys, seventh-grade girls, and eighth-grade boys all finished in fourth place.

8th Grade Girls – 2nd Place (30 Runners)

  • Ellie Lester: 12:40 – 1st place(District Champion)
