Get ready to relive your memories on the silver screen! The Gonzales Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture is thrilled to announce that the Texas Film Round-Up is rolling into town this fall. Partnering with the Texas Archive of the Moving Image (TAMI), this exciting cultural event will take center stage at the historic Crystal Theatre on Saturday, Oct. 11.
If your attic holds reels of home movies, vintage film footage, or forgotten VHS tapes, this is your cue. The Texas Film Round-Up is an award-winning program that provides free digitization services for Texas-related films and videotapes, preserving your family’s legacy while spotlighting the Lone Star State’s rich visual history.
TAMI’s traveling showcase often includes historic footage from the host community or nearby Texas towns. That means you might just see Gonzales on the big screen, featured in old film reels collected from right here in our backyard!
The event offers more than nostalgia; it's a celebration of storytelling, shared memories and Texas culture.
More information about the submission process and digitization guidelines will be released soon. In the meantime, locals are encouraged to begin gathering their materials for preservation.
