The League of Women Voters of South Central Texas is sharing this friendly reminder that Monday, Oct. 7, is the last day to register to vote in the November 2024 General Election.
Now is the time to ensure your registration is up-to-date and active, change your address if you have recently moved, or register to vote if you have not already done so. You can check your voter registration status or fill out a voter registration application online at VoteTexas.gov or Vote411.org.
Registering to vote in Texas requires you to complete a voter registration application and return the completed application to your County Elections office by the voter registration deadline. Gonzales County residents can go to the elections office in the Randle Rather Building at 427 St. George, Ste. 306, in Gonzales to turn in a completed application or complete the application in person. Online voter registration is not available in Texas, but you can fill out a voter registration application online and then print, sign, and either mail or bring the completed application to the County Elections office.
If you complete your application online, remember that your registration is not complete unless you print, sign, and return your application to your County Elections office. If you have questions about voter registration or your voter registration status, contact the Gonzales County Elections office at (830) 519-4054.
