Shear Designs wins Main Street Business of the Month

Shear Designs, which began its journey in 1985, moved to its current location at 805 N. St Joseph Street on Sept. 1, 1998. Before becoming the vibrant boutique and salon it is today, the building was formerly a gas station. The transformation from a fuel station to a fashion haven and beauty retreat is a testament to the vision and dedication of its founder.

Owner Connie Dolezal reflects on the origins of Shear Designs with both pride and nostalgia. "The salon and beauty shop were my sister’s dream. She has since passed away, but I’ve been blessed to be able to carry on," Dolezal shared.

The boutique is not only a one-stop-shop for designer women’s clothing, shoes, and accessories but also features an adjacent full-service beauty salon with four hair stylists and one nail technician that continues to draw a loyal clientele.

“We have the best customers around and have received so many compliments on how the shop looks,” Dolezal added.
