A Katy resident is being sought in connection for credit/debit card abuse in reference to theft of more than $2,300 in tires from Texas Tire and Auto in Gonzales.

According to a Gonzales Police Department report, a police officer responded Aug. 18 to the store, 1301 E. Sarah DeWitt Drive, Gonzales, in reference to a theft. The officer was advised that a black male subject entered the store and used a credit card to purchase tires in the amount of $2,352.81 on Aug. 18 after previously ordering them on Aug. 16. The business was later notified that the purchase was made with a fraudulent credit card.

During the investigation, police were able to identify the subject as one Charles Edward Logan, 53, of Katy. A warrant has been issued for a charge of credit/debit card abuse for Logan, who has several active warrants from other agencies for similar crimes. It is believed that Logan may be in the Houston or Lafeyette, Louisiana, area.
