This July, there will be 20 kids who have an opportunity to take part in the 2022 Gonzales County 4-H Agriculture Camp.
This event will be held July 11-13, with tours of agriculture production operations, agriculture related businesses, hands on opportunities, and guest speakers. The focus of this camp will be how agriculture impacts community daily lives and the daily camp will be from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Master Gardeners building, 623 N. Fair St., Gonzales.
Tours will include many agricultural local businesses and points of interest, with Graham Land & Cattle, Fehner & Son Feed Mill, Lester Ranch, High Fence Deer, Heartbrand Ranch, HEB, King Ranch Turfgrass Poultry, to name a few.
Incoming sixth through 12th graders can apply online until May 15 at Gonzales Texas AgriLife Extension Service’s website.
The current cost of participation is $100 per participant, once selected, with a potential price reduction with receipt of additional incoming sponsorship. For more information contact savay.sterling@gmail.com.
