In loving memory of Jesse Russell Jr.

Jesse Russell Jr. was born in Gonzales, Tx on November 06, 1968, to the late Jesse Russell Sr. and Cecilia Villlareal Russell. Jesse went home to be with the lord on Wednesday, August 3, 2022. He was 54 years young. Jesse attended Gonzales High School where he participated in football and a love for track and field. Jesse received Christ at an early age and attended Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church of Gonzales, Tx, under the leadership of Rev. Charles Roaches.

Jesse was a jack-of-all trades and loved carpentry by profession. Jesse had a kind heart and quick wit. He was always willing to lend a helping hand around the community. You could catch Jesse with a big smile on his face around town, a fishing pole in one hand and a cold-one in the other. He enjoyed passing time playing cards, and dominoes and holds the title of “The King of Smack Talking”. 

Jesse was a devoted family man, who loved his ex-wife Carol D. Hunt-Russell (Buffie) with an undying devotion to his son, siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends and his second family The Tealer’s. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, co-workers and all who knew him. 

Jesse was blessed with a large loving family and leaves to cherish his memories, his son Lance Camacho (of San Antonio, TX), 7 sisters, Joann Howard (of San Antonio, TX), Linda Villareal (of Spring, Tx) Debbria Yevett Russell (of Houston, TX), Patricia Russell (of Mesa, Arizona), Nacole Russell-Cole (Odessa, Tx), Peggy Russell-Taylor (of Houston, TX), Ruth Russell-Carrizales (of Gonzales, TX). Five brothers, Frank Villareal, Donald Clark Jr. (of Houston, TX) Jesse Lee (of San Antonio, TX), Paul Russell Sr., (of Kansas City, Kansas), and John David Russell (of Gonzales, TX). Sunrise:  November 6, 1968                                                                                           Sunset: August 3, 2022
