Nixon announces ‘Miracle on Main Street’ set for Dec. 9

The City of Nixon, in partnership with Nations Christian Fellowship, presents “Miracle on Main Street,” Saturday, Dec. 9, beginning at 6:30 p.m., with activities at the Nixon Community Center, 302 E. Central Ave., as well as along Main Street in Nixon.

A community lighted Christmas parade will begin at 6:30 p.m., with community participation encouraged. There will be a town Christmas with fun, activities, vendors, live music, photos with Santa, food and so much more after the parade ends to 10 p.m. at the Nixon Community Center.

Sign up to have an entry in the lighted parade, set up a booth and give away goodies to the community, or simply bring the whole family out to enjoy the holiday event. Last year, there were more than 40 parade entries. Businesses, churches, organizations and individuals are encouraged to participate and spread the joy of the season.
