Recently the Pilot Club of Gonzales Inc. attended the 87th annual Texas District Pilot Convention, held in College Station, Texas. More than 100 Pilots from across the state were in attendance along with guests.

Pilots attended training and presentations on topics ranging from traumatic brain injuries (TBIs), leadership, and other items to bring back to their clubs. The Pilot motto of “Friendship & Service” was in full force as members engaged with mentors from across the state. They also brought pet items to be donated to the College Station Humane Society as well as Bingo prizes to be used at TBI camps hosted by the Texas District Pilot TBI Foundation.

Local club members Linda Vaclavik and Scottie Beth Baker were installed to the District Administrative Council as lieutenant governor and treasurer, respectively. Liz Massey was appointed as the state membership coordinator and Lorrell Wright will serve a second year as the district’s social media/AV chair.

Gonzales club members Pat Anders-Ryan and Nancy Logan completed their year as co-registration chairs for the district.
