Pink Out Luncheon set for Oct. 24

Posted

The Gonzales Health Systems Foundation will host its annual Pink Out Luncheon Thursday, Oct. 24 at Ascend at the THRIVE Healthplex, 1300 Capt. Albert Martin Trail, Gonzales. Doors open at 11:30 a.m.

The event is held in recognition of October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It includes a lunch with women attired in all pink, held in a pink setting, to raise awareness of breast cancer and to raise monies for GHS’ Mammography Fund, which is utilized by local unfunded and underinsured women and men to get the essential screenings they need when they cannot afford to do so.

Patients come from all over the area for the mammogram screenings, including Gonzales, Waelder, Shiner, Hallettsville, Yoakum, Moulton, Port Lavaca, Goliad, Victoria, Seguin, and Schulenburg.

Every year Gonzales Health Systems partners with the Gonzales ISD cheerleaders to sell Pink Out shirts and host other functions in the month of October, with all the funds going towards the foundation.

They have been able to provide hundreds of no-cost screenings for individuals in the past six years.

Signature tables for the luncheon are $1,000 each and include eight seats, swag and advertising. Supporter tables are $500 each and include eight seats and advertising. To reserve your table, call 830-672-7581 ext. 1020 or email Holly Danz at hdanz@gonzaleshealthcare.com.
