Teresa Ann Martin Washichek

Teresa Ann Martin Washichek, of Gonzales, went to be with her lord and savior on Sunday November 27, 2022 at home surrounded by her family.  Teresa was born on September 21,1951 at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas to Dred Martin, Jr. and Margaret Elaine Spahn. Teresa was married to her lifelong best friend Fred Washichek September 26,1969 at the First Baptist church in Gonzales. Teresa pursued many career paths in caring for others, her latest was a bus driver with Gonzales ISD.

Teresa is survived by her husband of 53 years Fred Washichek Sr., Daughter Candy Washichek (Brown), her sons Kenneth Kuchynka (Donna) and Fred Washichek Jr. (Christyne), Grand children Kevin Brown (Debbie), Christopher Brown (Cheyenne), Debra Washichek (Marcus), Nicole Washichek (Pete), Will Irle, Logan Kuchynka, Hanah Payne, Prestonn Harlen, Torilynn Harlen, and Samantha Moore. Her great-grand kids are Jayden, Brayden, Corbin, Colby, Cooper, Hagen, Tino, Easton, Ryan, Emmylynne, Kutter, and Mayah. She is also survived by her sisters Penny and Dawn, and her brother Johnny.  Teresa dedicated 40 years of her life to the Girl Scouts and loved every single one of her girls; she was an inspiration to everyone in many ways. Teresa is proceeded in death by her parents, her two brothers Glenn and Dred (Hondo) and her beloved in laws Frank and Frieda Washichek.  

A visitation will be held Friday, December 2nd, 2022, from 10am to 12pm followed by a funeral service at 12pm at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home.

All services are under the care and direction of Seydler-Hill Funeral Home.
