Vine & Bloom Counseling opens Gonzales location at Thrive Healthplex

Access to mental health care has become easier for Gonzales residents as Vine & Bloom Counseling opened its second location at the Gonzales Healthcare Systems’ Thrive Healthplex Tuesday, June 11.

Vine & Bloom, which already had a location in Shiner, provides cognitive behavior therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, dialectal behavior therapy, child-centered play therapy and Christian counseling. 

Casie Ehrig, a licensed professional counselor and founder of Vine & Bloom, said having these services was needed in the area.

“There previously has been a lack of resources in our area, so to have this support is really increasing the mental health resources here and increasing the awareness in this community and ultimately providing more help for more people,” Ehrig said.

“The location is at Thrive in what used to be the Sprout location and now we have Vine & Bloom and Sprout & Play Therapy here and we are excited to have this space. We also have the playground as well and we're so excited,” Ehrig added.

Vine & Bloom provides therapy to adults, teens, couples and children, especially children’s play therapy.

The Gonzales location is at 300 Captain Albert Martin Trail, Gonzales, and the Shiner location is at 707 1/2 N. Ave. E, Shiner.
