Cuero eliminates Apaches from playoff contention

The Gonzales Apaches baseball season came to an end Tuesday, April 23 with an 8-2 road loss to the Cuero Gobblers.
The Apaches finished the season with a fifth-place 3-7 record in District 28-4A, beating San Antonio Memorial twice and having split the San Antonio JFK series.
Next season the Apaches will remain in the same district for the district realignment; they’ll face the same teams like Cuero, La Vernia, Memorial and JFK, but Navarro moves to District 26 and Floresville moves in to replace them for the 2025 season.
The Apaches will return to the baseball diamond for Spring 2025.
