Lady Apaches blow out Memorial, 16-4, to remain undefeated in district

The No. 23-ranked Gonzales Lady Apaches softball team improved to 2-0 in district with a 16-4 road win Tuesday, March 19 over San Antonio Memorial.
The Lady Apaches moved to 14-5 on the season and will return home for a district match against the Navarro Lady Panthers Friday, March 22.
Gonzales and Navarro went into extra innings in the first meeting of the 2023 season and the Lady Panthers beat the Lady Apaches in a 9-8 walkoff. Gonzales will be looking for a little payback and the chance to move to 3-0 in district play.
First pitch for the Navarro match is set for 7 p.m. at the Lady Apaches Softball Field.
