Albert Lee Nunn

Albert Lee Nunn was born on April 6, 1937, to the parentage of Mr. Hose Nunn and Mrs. Vandora (White) Nunn.

He accepted Christ at a young age, where his father was the pastor of a Church of God in Christ, his grandfather was a pastor, and his son, James Nunn, is the pastor of Mt. Eden Baptist Church.

He graduated from Wiley High School in Terra Haute, Indiana in May 1954.  Upon receiving a track scholarship, he attended Prairie View A&M University, where he received his Bachelor of Education and his Master of Education.  He also served two years in the Texas Army National Guard.

He was united in Holy Matrimony to Ms. Ethel Warren in 1959. He chose the educational field where he taught and coached at Brookshire Royal High School, Brookshire, Texas, Sealy High School, Sealy, Texas, and Page Middle School, in San Antonio, Texas. 

He began his administrative positions at Wheatley High School, San Antonio, Texas.  His last service in education was at Roosevelt High School, San Antonio, Texas, where he held the position of Assistant Principal.

During his retirement, he and his wife Ethel Warren Nunn moved to Armstrong Colony Fayette County, Texas.  He assisted in many community projects, including the rural water system for Armstrong Colony and surrounding communities. The Mt. Olive Museum in Armstrong Colony, and the community park.

He was also pivotal in establishing the Waelder extension of the Guadalupe College Seminary in Waelder, Texas. He was a member of the Waelder Lions Club.  He also worked in the Fayette Soil and Water Conservation District as a Board member.

In his service to the Lord, he was the Guadalupe College Waelder Extension president.  He also served as Deacon to the Mt. Olive Baptist church Armstrong Colony Fayette County Texas. Also served in the office as Deacon of the Mt. Eden Baptist Church.  He served in his office as a Deacon until he was physically unable.  His favorite hymn was Guide Me O Thou Great Jehovah.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 65 years Ethel Nunn, and two sons, Pastor James A. Nunn, and Terry Nunn. Grandchildren, Jaymes Nunn, Marcus Nunn, Granddaughter-in-law, Kayla Nunn. Great grandchildren, JayMaria Nunn, Jaymee Nunn, and Aaliyah Nunn. Brother-in-law, Theron Warren, Jr, Sister-in-Law, Dolores Carter (Jack, Jr.) Nephews, Jack Carter III and Ansel Carter.  Niece, Jill Carter. Other Nieces and Nephews and Friends.
