The Gonzales Apaches hosted the La Vernia Bears for the series finale Tuesday, April 16.
Gonzales fell to La Vernia, 5-2.
The Apaches recorded three hits against La Vernia and got on twice from walks.
Gonzales got on the board with an RBI single by Brandon DuBose in bottom of the fourth and DuBose scored a run from an RBI double by James Sanchez.
Apaches pitcher Nathan Castillo struck out three La Vernia batters and Dakota DuBose struck out one.
The Apaches will conclude their season with a two-game series against the Cuero Gobblers.
Game one is set at home Friday, April 19 and game two in Cuero Tuesday, April 23.
First pitch for both games are set at 7 p.m.
