The Gonzales Apaches FC soccer season came to an end Tuesday, March 12 in a 4-4 tie with the San Antonio Memorial Minutemen.

The Apaches battled to the very end in a back-and-forth match against Memorial.

Apaches head soccer coach Shea Seip was proud of how his team never gave up and overcame adversity.

“I'm extremely, extremely, extremely proud of my boys. I know the results didn't go our way all the way this season. And missing it [the playoffs] by a few points is going to hurt. But I love my seniors. Those seniors really changed the program this season. They bought in and that's really what got us here,” Seip said.

The Apaches say goodbye to seniors Miguel Moreno, Alan Orduna, Marco Vazquez, Matthew DeLeon, Jesus Huerta, and Santiago Almaguer.

“I'm gonna be right there when they walk the stage. I'm gonna shake their hands and I'm gonna wish them well and I hope they do amazing things out in the real world,” Seip said.

Seip said he and his team are eyeing a district championship in 2025.

The Apaches FC will return in 2025.
