Barbara Elaine Hinrichs

Goliad — Barbara Elaine Hinrichs, 95, of Goliad, Texas, formally of Moulton, Texas. passed away at home on Sunday, May 11, 2025 surrounded by family. Barbara was born September 25, 1929 in St. Augustine, TX. to George Dewey Newton and Flossie Edna Jasper. She married Donald Foster Hinrichs in Port Arthur, Texas on August 6, 1948.

Barbara is survived by her sons Donald “Jock” Hinrichs & spouse John Robinson of Hous- ton, Texas, William “Dana” Hinrichs & spouse Herman “Lingga” Lin, daughter Dorothy and spouse Paul Okruhlik. She is also survived by her granddaughter Melanie and spouse Tony Bartek, great-grandchildren; Skyler & Jonathan Petty, Brandon Bartek, Cooper Bartek, Julie & A.J. Oehlke, great-great-grandchildren; Talon, Braxton, Ember, and River.

She loved God and is survived by her Church family from Gonzales Baptist Church in Gonzales Texas. She was a sincerely kind person who would help a person any which way she could. She loved her family, her children and was blessed with living a long life so she could know her grandchild, her great grandchildren and her great, great grandchildren. She was particularly attached to her youngest great, great grandchild River and he loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother George Newton, her husband Donnie and loads of cousins.

No service will be held at her request.
