Caroline Elizabeth Cloer, 68, born September 9, 1957, in Gonzales, to Marvin and Elizabeth (Polly) Houston Fink, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026, leaving behind a life stitched together with beauty, warmth, creativity, and love for those who truly knew her.
Caroline had a gift for seeing beautiful creations in everyday things. Through her floral designs, she brought comfort to grieving hearts, joy to celebrations, and beauty to countless moments in between. Every arrangement she created carried a touch of her spirit. Her passion for cooking filled tables and hearts alike, as no one ever left her presence hungry for food or love. She found happiness in traveling, discovering new places, and collecting memories along the way. Whether near or far, Caroline carried with her a graceful spirit and a love for life’s simple beauties. She especially treasured the friendships that filled her life with laughter and companionship. From gambling trips and beach vacations to simple lunches shared around town, her closest friends meant the world to her. Those moments of laughter, storytelling, and togetherness were among the memories she cherished most deeply. Caroline also found peace in life’s quieter moments. She enjoyed sitting on the front porch, taking in the breeze, sharing conversations, and simply enjoying the comforts of home, the people she loved and laughing at the shenanigans they would talk about.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Crystal Moore, and her cherished grandsons, Cason Payton, Blake, and Riley Moore, who were among her greatest joys and brightest lights. As well as her adopted son Kyle Fortenberry.
Caroline was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Denver Cloer; her father, Marvin Fink; and her mother, Polly Fink, all of whom she carried in her heart.
Though her hands are now at rest, the beauty she created remains — in the flower creations that she made, and the meals shared around family tables, the miles traveled, and the memories held tightly by those who loved her. Her life was a garden of kindness, and her love will continue to bloom in the hearts of all who knew her.
