Charlotte Ray Wilson

Charlotte Ray Wilson, 88, of Gonzales, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2026. She was born September 21, 1937 in Marlin, Texas the daughter of Raymond and Johnnie Estelle Allen Brown.

Charlotte worked for several years with Prosperity Bank and was a property manager. She was a very active member of the First Methodist Church and sang with the church choir. She enjoyed being a member of the Garden Club and Bridge Club. She was a master Bridge player and taught several people, while also playing in National Bridge Tournaments. She was a former Gonzales Ladies Golf Champion. Most of all she loved the beach and fishing.

She will always be remembered as a “Giver not a Taker”. She is survived by her sons Gregory Wilson of Spring and Timothy Wilson of Gonzales. Also surviving are her grandchildren Ashley Renee Keen and Jackson Wilson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold Wilson and her sister Laura Husby.

A Celebration of Her Life will be held 10 a.m. Monday, May 11, 2026 at the First Methodist Church with Dr. Matt Pennington officiating.
