Gary Paul Pagel, 59, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of his family, on June 26, 2026, at 1:45 p.m.

Gary was born on September 5, 1966 to Betty Pagel in Alice Texas. He was lovingly raised by Betty and the late Douglas Pagel in Gonzales Texas. He dedicated his life to his family and his work, spending his entire career as an electrician. He was known for his incredible work ethic, his willingness to help others, and the pride he took in everything he did.

On October 24, 1999, Gary married the love of his life, Alice Baker Pagel. Together they built a life centered on love, family, and creating lasting memories.

Gary leaves behind his beloved wife, Alice Pagel; his mother, Betty Pagel; his daughter Haley Mabry (Jared); his stepchildren, James Rickman Jr., Justin Rickman (Dakota), and Melissa Rickman; along with many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought him endless joy. He is preceded in death by his dad, Douglas Pagel.

Outside of work, Gary loved spending time with his family, woodworking, and relaxing while watching movies. Whether he was building something with his hands or simply enjoying the company of those he loved, Gary’s greatest happiness came from being with his family.

Those who knew Gary will remember him as a loving, kind, hardworking man with the biggest heart. He had a quiet strength, a generous spirit, and a way of making those around him feel cared for. His love and guidance will live on through the many lives he touched.

Gary’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy of love, compassion, and dedication will never be forgotten.
